Tournament History and Mission Statement |
| During the past fourteen years, the Fall Golf Classic has provided an atmosphere where friends, business associates and family members can golf and enjoy fellowship while raising valuable dollars to benefit worthy charitable organizations. In 2005 the tournament takes on a new image. This year, the official name is the Bucks County Fall Golf Classic with the beneficiaries being wonderful charities located in Bucks County. A major title sponsor, John Kennedy Automotive, has also been added giving the tournament more prestige, recognition and hopefully more financial assistance to the charities. A tournament’s success can be measured in a number of ways. Feedback from prior golfers, repeat sponsors and golfers, the number of golfers, but most importantly is the amount of money that goes to the charities. For 2005, the tournament committee is setting an admirable goal of $25,000 to be split between the two selected charities. With the help of repeat sponsors and new sponsors, the committee hopes to successfully make our goal. This year the players will enjoy more benefits than before. The entry fee is only $150 per person, but each player will receive: a round of golf, golf cart, pair of Foot Joy golf shoes, golf balls, lunch, dinner, on course refreshments, tournament golf shirt or shoe bag. This package has exceptional value and a tournament player will want to come back to year after year. Also new to the tournament will be the silent auction. Players and spectators can bid on items such as lunch and golf at a local private country club, a private dinner party at your home for eight people with the food being prepared by a local premiere chef, vintage wine, fine cigars in a humidor and much more. On behalf of the charities and the committee, we would like to thank you in helping make this year’s tournament the best yet. |
